Little Miracles children take a field trip to the Pumpkin Patch on St. Anne's Road

The rain failed to dampen the energetic spirit of preschoolers during a recent field trip to the pumpkin patch.

Children from the Little Miracles Preschool boarded school buses with their parents and teachers for a trip to the Pumpkin Patch on St. Anne’s Road in Spallumcheen.

The annual school tradition is a highlight for the kids, who get to pick out a pumpkin to take home.

Even though the rain created a muddy mess in the pumpkin patch, smiles were still shining on the children’s faces. Some picked pint-sized pumpkins to match their size, while others rolled their giant picks through the patch.

Following a picnic lunch, the children then treated their parents to a special song, Have you seen the pumpkin man.

Even the bus trip was a highlight for the children, as it is the first time many have been able to ride on a school bus. One particular melody could be heard throughout the busses: The wheels on the bus.
