The Sutton Warm and Fuzzy Shelter Collection is taking place once again in Vernon.
Winter clothing and other items needed by area shelters can be dropped off weekdays between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. beginning Monday at the Sutton Group Lakefront Realty office at 2749 30th St.
Or realtors will be in the parking lot Nov. 5 between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. as part of a drive-thru donation service.
“We’ve been doing the shelter collection for a few years now,” said Debbie Steenkamp, a Sutton realtor.
“All items go to be sorted at Howard House where Kelly Fehr and other local shelter managers go and gather what their facility needs. We love helping the community and offering such a simple way for residents to help us give back to those in need.”
Among the items needed are winter jackets, sweaters, long johns, gloves, scarves, toques, blankets, sleeping bags, socks, men’s pants, men’s footwear, towels, coffee cups and cutlery.
