Wondering what to do with that old bike with a broken chain, torn book, tattered sweater or holey socks? Instead of tossing them, bring them down to the Repair Café May 2.
The community event aims to bring people together in an effort to fix broken items, swap expert advice and get inspired.
From sewing to gluing and sharpening everything from appliances to guitars, electronics and knickknacks are welcome, only if they’re broken.
Vernon in Transition, Okanagan Science Centre and the Regional District of North Okanagan present the event, which takes place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the OSC parking lot. There will be family activities, music and food vendors.
Voluntary donations are welcome. For more information visit repaircafe.org
