In less than 1,000 words, write about what you think Vernon will be like in 2030.

Vernon in Transition and the Vernon branch of Okanagan Regional Library want to hear from you.

In less than 1,000 words, write about what you think Vernon will be like in 2030. Focus on the ways it will be better than it is today and hint at how we got to this future.

Prizes, provided by the Vernon Friends of the Library, are: a one-year family membership to the Okanagan Science Centre, tickets to the Vernon Performing Arts Centre for children’s performances, books, tickets to Caravan Farm Theatre and a gift certificate to Bookland.

Entries must be received by Aug. 9 and should be forwarded to svollick@orl.bc.ca or dropped off at the branch’s front desk.

Winning entries will be awarded prizes at a ceremony Aug. 22.

For more information, visit the Vernon branch page at www.orl.bc.ca or call 250-542-7539.
