Santa Claus is coming to Silver Star.
The mountain resort will hold its second annual Light Up Festival Saturday from 4 to 6 p.m.
“Nothing is more magical and says Christmas like a ski village in winter,” said Robin Baycroft, Silver Star’s resort services manager,
“With sleigh rides around the village and Santa on site, families will love this event.”
There will be a performance by fire jugglers, artists using the snow as their canvas, maple syrup taffy making, fireside storytelling with free hot chocolate and a live performance by Keenan Wilcox.
Wild Horseman’s Adventures will be providing free sleigh rides around the village.
Outdoor Adventures will also be letting guests try out snowshoes.
The team from B.C. Power Smart will be on hand and the RCMP ski and snowboard engravers will be on site marking your gear to help you keep it safe.
“For a winter wonderland not available in the valley, we invite you to make the short trip and enjoy the magic of Silver Star’s colourful village at this festive time of year,” said Baycroft.
