As of Thursday morning, SilverStar has announced that Silver Woods chairlift is now open. With Powder Gulch Express and Home Run Tee still closed, eight of the 10 lifts are now open.
Though the mountain still has one of the biggest snow base in the Okanagan — of 104 cm as of Dec. 6, glades are still closed and it is still quite early in the season and is suggested that skiers stick to groomed runs.
After a delayed start, the alpine season officially began Saturday, Nov. 24 with 14 runs and two lifts and the gondola open. Night Skiing is set to begin Friday, Dec. 21.
It’s a beautiful day & we are excited to announce that the Silver Woods Chairlift is now OPEN! Please be cautious of early season conditions & stick to groomed trails. All glades are closed for skiing & Cloud 9 is closed for the Race Teams. Happy Skiing ❄️ #SkiSilverStar
