Snow season is in full gear at Kal Tire Place this weekend.

The BC Provincial Snow Show slides into action tonight from 5 to 9 p.m., and then rides out again Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

More than 30 vendors are revved to take part in the annual event with snowmobiles, snowbikes, gear, performance parts and more.

Entrance is by donation to Easter Seals.

“Should be fun,” said Tim Bennett, with Recreation Site and Trails BC, who is coming up from Merritt. “I’m heading over to Vernon with four other Recreation Sites and Trails BC staff to talk sledding.

“Our purpose is to engage with the public users. We also would like to promote proper edict and ethics along with building a safety culture.”

The Snow Show is in town just as SilverStar Mountain Resort celebrates its opening weekend.
