SPCA requires public’s help

The  Vernon SPCA is overwhelmed with homeless kittens and is seeking the public’s help with feeding all of its hungry houseguests.

“It is a challenge to keep up with the needs of all of the kittens who are dropped off at the shelter or are abandoned at this time of year,” said Corinne Ross, branch manager.

“We would be so grateful if people are able to help us by dropping off cans of high-quality canned kitten food.”

Ross hopes individuals who are considering adopting will come and visit the 40 kittens currently looking for homes.

“During the summer, we take in so many kittens and our goal is to find each one a loving family as quickly as possible.”

To help, visit the Vernon SPCA at 4800 Haney Rd. or call 250-549-7297.
