Storytime schedules are all set for little ones looking for some free, warm winter fun at their local library.
“Storytime is a great way to introduce your child to an organized, participatory group setting,” said Michelle Rule, Communications Manager. “Join us for fun with stories, songs, rhymes and puppets.”
Winter Storytime at the Lumby branch of the Okanagan Regional Library runs Thursdays at 11 a.m. from Jan. 16 to April 3 for ages two to six.
In Lake Country, three to five year olds (and their caregivers) can join Pokey for free stories, action rhymes and more Fridays at 10:15 a.m. until May 2. No storytime Good Friday, April 18.
The Lake Country branch also hosts babytimes for newborn to 18-month-olds Tuesdays at 10:10 a.m. until March 11.
Armstrong Storytime for Preschoolers begins Jan. 15 and runs until May 7 (no program March 19 and 26) Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m.
Enderby’s Winter Session runs each Saturday at 11 a.m. Jan. 11 to March 29.
Enderby also has a Lego Club which is underway Wednesdays from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. during January for six to 12-year-olds. Registration is required for the club, call 250-838-6488 or stop in.
Falkland is also playing with Lego. The next Lego Mania Program runs Jan. 28 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
The Vernon Library’s Lego club is full, but there are several storytimes to take part in.
Preschool Storytime runs Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 10:30 a.m. and Wednesdays at 1:30 p.m. starting Jan 13 until May 17.
Kids can come dressed for bedtime with their stuffies in tow for PJ Storytime Wednesdays at 7 p.m. starting Jan. 15.
Toddlertime resumes Feb. 12, Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Bigger kids can play games on Tuesdays from 3 to 4 p.m. from Jan. 14 to May 13.
Vernon is also celebrating Family Literacy Day Saturday, Jan. 25 with an early storytime at 10 a.m., Tumblebooks demonstrations in the morning and afternoon and an Elephant & Piggie Party from 1:30-2:45 including a black light show and crafts.
