The Stroke Recovery Association of B.C. planted 150 tulip bulbs at Vernon Jubilee Hospital recently to commemorate Canada’s upcoming 150th anniversary.

Among those helping with the planting was Wilf Knopp, who had a stroke in 2002 but says staying active is an important part of recovery.

The Vernon Stroke Recovery branch meets Thursdays at the Eagles Hall from 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

Photos from the planting can also be seen in Wednesday's issue of The Morning Star.
