Students host health forum

A.L. Fortune Secondary School’s health leadership class will host a health forum Friday from 1:15 to 3:15 p.m.

A.L. Fortune Secondary School’s health leadership class will host a health forum Friday from 1:15 to 3:15 p.m.

“Admission is free and anyone is welcome to attend,” said teacher Terry Shykora

Dr. Alison Howatt will speak on concussions, followed by Karen Durant on genetically modified organisms and Afke Zonderland will speak on raw food. James Johnson will conclude the event with his talk entitled, The conscious choices you can make between being healthy, sick, or nearly dead.

There will be opportunities for questions and discussion, and a door prize will be given out.

“We are delighted that these outstanding and entertaining speakers will be willing to share their knowledge with us,” said Shykora.
