A small Vernon school has had big results.
The 20 students at Pleasant Valley Christian Academy raised $1,100 for the Heart and Stroke Foundation’s Jump Rope for Heart campaign.
“Our students have really been engaged and enthusiastic as we have reached for and passed one goal after another,” said Laurie Little, the school’s special events co-ordinator.
“We have truly been the little school with a big heart. We have had a lot of fun celebrating the rewards of reaching each mini-goal. We have done everything from extra-long recess, to jeans day to Silly Stringing our organizer. We are still looking forward to crazy hair day, duct-taping a staff member to the wall and a pizza party at Pizza Hut to reward our awesome students for their outstanding efforts. “
