Summer jobs open

Canada Summer Jobs funding will allow local non-profits and businesses to hire students.

Canada Summer Jobs funding will allow local non-profits and businesses to hire students.

Ninety-one applicant projects in the North Okanagan-Shuswap will receive $679,119 for 188 summer job positions.

“This funding provides valuable staffing support for institutions and employers who contribute to our communities through providing services and economic activity,” said Mel Arnold, North Okanagan-Shuswap MP.

“I welcome this funding that will also allow students to work through the summer to support their pursuit of education and reduce their need to take on debt while also supporting their employers during the busy summer season.”
