You, too, can experience the same good time close to 100 people had at the Vernon Lawn Bowling Club May 31.
The 106-year-old club hosted an open house for all lawn bowling clubs in the Interior.
There were 88 bowlers from Osoyoos, Penticton, Kelowna, Salmon Arm and Kamloops.
“There were 64 players in the morning and 68 in the afternoon,” said the club. “All the teams were made up of bowlers from different clubs. A good time was had by all.”
The Vernon club and the City of Vernon will host a Try It Day on Saturday, June 24, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Everyone is welcome to come out and try the sport at the greens in Polson Park.
