Breakfast is back on at the Vernon Elks Lodge in a drive to spread smiles among kids at Christmas.

Following the success of the inaugural event last year, the service club is bringing back Santa’s Elks Christmas Toy Breakfast Wednesday, Nov. 29 from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m.

Everyone who comes, and everyone is welcome, gets a free pancake breakfast when they bring an unwrapped toy.

“They can sit down to eat and watch our live entertainment, or take a to-go bag with coffee upon request,” said Monica Tracey, co-ordinator.

In conjunction with the Salvation Army, the toys will be distributed to families in need.

“Last year’s breakfast was such a success and now we are in the process of building it up to bring in more people for breakfast and donations,” said Tracey.

“I promise it will be just as fun as last year and just as rewarding. Let’s do it for the children!”
