The Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation raises funds for local health care.

There are some changes for an organization supporting North Okanagan health care.

The Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation has selected its board for 2016/17, and new directors are Marilyn Scott and Elaine Siemens.

“The VJH Foundation is excited about the expertise and enthusiasm Marilyn and Elaine will bring to our board,” said Elise Allan, president.

Scott has worked in government and private sector communications and has participated in numerous fundraising committees, including Wine, Women & Woods Tee off for the Cure.

Following a career in materials management, Siemens retired to Vernon in 2007 and joined the VJH Auxiliary.

Retiring from the board are Wilf Mulder and Gladys Schroeter.

For 2016/17, Allan returns as president while vice-president is Richard Finn and the treasurer is Greg Hamilton.

The 15-member board has representation from Armstrong, Coldstream, Enderby, Lumby and Vernon.

The foundation raises more than $1 million annually for health care, including residential care facilities, community health services and Vernon Jubilee Hospital.
