Greater Vernon Recreation Services is inviting kids and parents to join them for Park and Play in local Vernon parks for free activities and games on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from April 7 to June 18.
Park and Play takes place in Polson Park near the playground on Tuesday evenings from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
On Thursday evenings, the action starts at Lakeview Park (3001-18th Street) from 5 to 6:30 p.m.
Some of the activities include games like bean bag toss, tug-o-war and potato-sack races. There will also be play equipment such as soccer balls, Frisbees, hula-hoops and bocce balls.
Funding for Park and Play was provided by the RBC Learn To Play Project.
