Vernon stars, and fans, are making a major difference in the lives of those nearing the end.
"Thank you so much to the dancers, coaches, judges, sponsors, volunteers and community members that supported the ninth annual Dancing with the Vernon Stars Gala and Fundraiser," said Shirley Higgins, North Okanagan Hospice Society event manager.
The event raised (after expenses) $55,757 for the NOHS - North Okanagan Hospice Society
"Congratulations and sincere thanks and appreciation to all of you involved for making this the BEST event to date," said Higgins.
Plans are already underway for the 10th Annual DWVS, for Friday, Sept. 29, 2017.
