Although Vernon Winter Carnival is nearly four months away, the event roster is filling up.
“We are excited to announce that as of today’s date we have 64 events who have already registered for the 2017 Carnival Celebrates Canada’s 150th event,” said Deb White, Carnival chairperson, who would like to see 100 to 125 events.

Along with new events being submitted daily to the Carnival office, the Carnival also hosts about 10 to 15 events, including Family Day in Polson Park and Toonie and a Tin.
“But it’s only October and we are still getting events,” said White.
The VWC board is still hopeful that the invitation sent to the Right Honorable Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is accepted, to help mark the patriotic-themed event.
