Parents of teens about to get behind the driver’s seat have a chance to help prevent crashes.

The Vernon Secondary Parent Advisory Council is hosting a workshop for parents with teens preparing to be drivers.

The workshop, facilitated by Ed Howard of Vernon Safe Communities, takes place Tuesday, at 7 p.m. in the VSS library.

The workshop will provide parents the knowledge and resources to manage their child’s learning experience to help them become safe and competent drivers.

It is also designed to provide practical information that walks parents through a number of effective strategies that they can implement with their teen.
