JCI Vernon’s second annual Zombie Run takes over Polson Park Oct. 15.

The dead will run again.

JCI Vernon’s second annual Zombie Run will take place Oct. 15, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Polson Park.

“I am so excited for this event,” said Kate Bradley, co-chairperson for the event.

“It is an event for all ages. Come out, dress up, have fun.”

This fun, activity-oriented run will provide the opportunity for individuals to run through the park, while escaping from zombies.

Participants will be able to warm up for the run with zumba provided by Soul Studio, have their faces painted, and have the chance to win one of several prizes.

Everyone is welcome to participate in a fun event that will benefit a local organization.

“The Zombie Run will once again focus on growing community awareness for the Teen Junction, to which proceeds of the event will be donated,” said co-chairperson Tiffany Roos.

“Teen Junction is a drop-in centre for youth. It provides service to approximately 202 youth throughout the community, averaging roughly 15 per day.”

Registrants can take advantage of an early-bird registration rate by visiting www.jcivernon.com, and registering before Saturday.
