Welcome to the first instalment of Crook’s Corner, a weekly video highlighting a selection of arts and entertainment happenings in the Vernon area, hosted by The Morning Star arts and entertainment editor, Parker Crook.

This week’s video features three events: Mom’s The Word III — Nest 1/2 Empty, For the Love of Art and Supernatural: A Santana Experience.

Mom’s The Word III — Nest 1/2 Empty rolls into the Vernon and District Performing Arts Centre Nov. 8 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available for $40 adult, $37 senior and $35 student through the Ticket Seller, 250-549-7469, www.ticketseller.ca. Discounts are available for members of the Vernon and District Performing Arts Centre Society. Mom’s The Word III — Nest 1/2 Empty is the second of five shows in the society’s 2017/18 theatre series.

To honour their trusted members, the Vernon Public Art Gallery is gearing up to host For the Love of Art, a diverse display of local art in the annual VPAG member’s exhibition at gallery. Enjoy an evening of music, contemporary art, locally crafted beer, wine, and appetizers Thursday, Nov. 9 from 6 p.m – 8 p.m.

Supernatural: A Santana Experience rocks the Vernon and District Performing Arts Centre Stage Nov. 11 at 8 p.m. Tickets are available for $55 through the Ticket Seller, 250-549-7469, www.ticketseller.ca.
