Climb into the spellbinding adventure of Jack and the Beanstalk at Creekside Theatre in Lake Country, starting Nov. 14.
The latest play by Pixie & Dot takes the timeless fairy tale and transforms it into an uproarious, interactive, and magical pantomime journey for the entire family.
Adapted from Johnny Duncan’s story and featuring a cast of unforgettable characters, Jack and the Beanstalk promises to be an enchanting experience that’s sure to leave audiences laughing and singing.
According to Dawn Ewen of Pixie & Dot, the story takes place in the quaint village of Bumbleville where a young man named Jack lives, whose appetite for adventure is as big as his heart.
“When his mother, Dame Trot, hits hard times, Jack takes his beloved cow Daisy to market, hoping to trade her for a little cash. But instead, he receives a handful of mysterious magic beans from an eccentric stranger who promises that riches await him,” explains Ewen.
Ewen has spent dozen of years perfecting the art of pantomime and this time she has weaved together slapstick comedy and catchy songs.
