Combine the artwork of 11 artists with a 115-year-old Fintry Manor House and what do you get?

A Fintry Fusion Art Show of course.

The historic Delta Fintry was created into Fintry Provincial Park in 1996 and a number of the heritage buildings have been restored adding to the beauty of this magnificent park. The Manor house built in 1908-09 is one of the four structures on the Canadian Register of historic places and is where the art show and sale will take place on Saturday and Sunday, June 24 and 25, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.

The two-day event includes a Strawberry Cream Tea, live music on the expansive verandah and an open house for self-guided tours of the Manor House. As well as beautiful new artwork, you will see copper-plated engravings from the 1790s and a fully restored Trophy Room.

After your visit to the art show at the Fintry Manor House you can tour the expansive grounds, walk the labyrinth, climb 300 steps to the top of the three-tiered waterfall and visit the Packing House.

The Fintry Packing House is the only surviving one of its kind and is where the sternwheelers on the lake would dock to load the products of Fintry. The SS Sicamous connected all the lakeside settlements back in the day.

There is much more to see and makes the short 44-minute drive from Vernon a very rewarding and fun excursion.

The Friends of Fintry Provincial Park Society puts a great effort into showcasing this incredible historic site through public tours and events such as this.
