Rising country music star Dylan Schneider is in Canada for the first time to open shows in Vancouver and Kelowna.
Warming up the crowd for Nate Smith’s World on Fire tour, Schneider takes to the Kelowna Community Theatre stage on Feb. 22.
The young singer-songwriter said this may be his favourite tour yet.
“Nate is a really good dude. We’ve been friends since like 2020 actually, we’ve known each other for a little while. It’s good to be out with people you like and you know you enjoy. His entire crew is great.”
Schneider started delving into music in his teens, enjoying rock bands like Nickleback before stepping toward country music and bands like Florida Georgia Line. The Indiana boy got his big break after being discovered on YouTube and made the move to Nashville, Tennessee.
His latest single release “Bad Decisions” came out Jan. 12. He said it’s been awesome to see how the crowd responds to his latest music.
“I wrote it like a year and a half ago and it’s just been sitting around. We just wanted to find the right time and the right stuff, I guess, going on around it for the release,” he said.
Schneider is hoping to release his debut album in 2024 and plans to make more stops across Canada as his music career continues.
Tickets for the Thursday night show are sold out.
