If you’re still deciding whether or not to attend the annual Midsummer’s Eve of the Arts Gala, maybe seeing what’s available to bid on will spark your curiosity.

The opening reception of the 2023 Midsummer’s Eve of the Arts is tonight, Thursday, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Vernon Public Art Gallery (VPAG), and it’s your chance to preview the artwork that will be in the auction.

With more than 80 original artworks by popular local and breakthrough artists, there is something for everyone.

Additionally there will be luxury packages like a Sparkling Hills Wellness Retreat, Roots and Blues weekend passes, travel getaways to Revelstoke, Victoria, Penticton and so much more!

Come preview the artwork and start planning on which pieces you can win and take home from the MEA event on Wednesday, July 19, at Coldstream’s Mackie Lake House. Tickets on sale now through the gallery’s website.

Cypress Funeral and Cremation Services is sponsoring the Opening Reception at the VPAG.

The 2023 Midsummer’s Eve of the Arts event will feature gourmet appetizers, wine by Arrowleaf Cellars and beer by Okanagan Springs Brewery.

Jason Armstrong and Rebecca Barton of Beach Radio will emcee the event alongside auctioneer Don Raffan.

Following the live auction, guests can peruse the silent auction items, enjoy more food and drinks, and dance into the night.

The event’s presenting sponsor is Bannister Honda.
