Square dancing has long been a part of Vernon history, and is still going on today, thanks to the Star Country Squares.

"It's always fun at a square dance," shouts the Squares on their Facebook page.

No experience is necessary. If you want to learn to square dance, the Star Country Squares are there to help.

The club is offering 18 lessons on Thursdays from 7-9 p.m. starting Jan. 23 at the Halina Centre in the Vernon Recreation Complex. The cost is $10 per session.

Singles, couples, and families are welcome.
