A Vernon local, who has serenaded the B.C. coast for years, is bringing his musical acumen back to his hometown.
Stephan LaCasse, a Vernon Secondary School graduate, will perform at Marten Brewing on Friday, Sept. 29, from 7-9 p.m.
“This will be my first show in Vernon as a solo performer,” said LaCasse, who has already performed over 50 shows in 2023.
“In January, I released my debut solo full-length album, Whiskey Creek Surf Shop Blues, which I self-produced and is available for streaming.”
The singer and acoustic guitarist got his musical start in Vernon, where he played in the local ‘90s punk band Wishing Well, in addition to playing Aladdin in the Powerhouse Theatre’s 1999 production of Aladdin and His Magic Lamp.
After graduating, LaCasse made the move to Toronto, where he spent the last 20 years before moving back to B.C. on the Sunshine Coast in 2022.
LaCasse’s style is an eclectic blend of rock, pop, punk and folk, which showcases a diverse range of influences.
