Vernon Ski Club screens new Warren Miller Entertainment film

Warren Miller’s 68th full-length film, Line of Descent, plays at the Vernon Towne Cinema Nov. 16

For 68 years, ski families have cheered on the official kickoff to winter with the ski film company that started it all, and this year is no different.

The Vernon Ski Club is bringing Warren Miller’s 68th full-length film, Line of Descent, to the Vernon Towne Cinema Thursday at 7 p.m.

With nearly seven decades of making ski films under their belt, Warren Miller Entertainment has learned that snow riders are a family — one big tribe comprised of many smaller ones.

Familial rites are passed down through generations, and skier roots grow deep in high mountain soil.

As the family grows, the traditions grow richer. And this year is deeper and fresher than ever.

Follow Warren Miller Entertainment through the breathtaking winter scenery of the French Alps, Montana, New Zealand, Colorado, Jackson Hole, Norway and British Columbia’s own Monashee Mountains and Fernie.

Tickets are $15, available at Olympia Cycle and Ski, the Bean Scene Coffee House and at the door.

The Vernon Ski Club was established in 1935.
