Thank you so much to the kind soul who found and turned in my purse to the staff of the Tim Horton’s on Easter Monday. My life was in that bag.

If I am in my basement bedroom with the door shut and wearing custom made earplugs and I can still hear a skydiving plane, then there is obviously a problem with the noise level.

The May 5 letter to the editor on the Kinder Morgan Pipeline expansion to the West Coast suggests this is an environmental disaster waiting to happen and therefore, should not be built.

Well Charlene, I am glad to see that I’m not the only one concerned.

I read the letters in this paper and others because it reinforces my thoughts that there are good thinking, switched-on people out there with some realistic visions.

With the new arena, it is finally time to tear down the Civic Arena.

I grew up in a farm family of 10 children. We all learned to work at an early age. We were given age appropriate jobs to do.

We, as in the general population, need to have a conversation with and about millennials.

How is it that we can have a rainbow painted downtown and we can’t seem to have the white lines on our roads?

In regards to the article in the May 21 edition of The Morning Star entitled, “A Piece of Vernon’s History,” it appears that the writer, Nancy Josland Dalsin, attributed the building to the wrong denomination.
