My wife and I read the recent article in The Morning Star regarding the need for crossing guards or traffic monitors on 27th Street at Beairsto Elementary.

Thanks to the tireless efforts of Brigitte Red and others, Gallery Vertigo has a new home. Vertigo occupies a special place in the North Okanagan which isn’t always recognized.

I realize it’s a tad late to comment on the voter reform bill (actually, lack of) that Justin Trudeau has cancelled even though some people thought that that is how he got elected.

Regional districts provide the ability for municipalities and electoral areas to partner in the delivery of services that may be more cost or quality effective to deliver together.

Maybe it’s time to dissolve Vernon council and start fresh.

I attended the open house held by the City of Vernon Feb. 15. I was told it is busy with other developments for two years and therefore, is only able to develop one or two lake access sites a year with current staff.

Would someone please explain to me why the City of Vernon continues to do road work on side streets while the main thoroughfares are in dreadful shape — 48th Avenue, 43rd Avenue, Alexis Park Drive, 32nd Avenue, and 30th Avenue to name a few.
