LETTER: Pick your poison

It would seem we are developing the mindset that electricity is not only clean, but limitless and available from thin air.

It would seem we are developing the mindset that electricity is not only clean, but limitless and available from thin air.

The reality is that electricity must be generated in one way or another, and it takes some form of energy, be it hydro dams, coal, nuclear or others to do so.

Right now B.C. needs to buy power from elsewhere to fill the demand, and much of that power is generated from coal or nuclear.

It would take three dam sites the size of site C to fill the demand and become self sufficient, and that is before we put one more electric car on the road!

Pick your poison.
