I had the pleasure of enjoying a walk on the beach and pier at your beautiful Kalamalka Lake in June.
Sadly the beauty was marred by more than a dozen empty cans, cups and straws floating at the end of the pier.
I was shocked to see so much garbage floating in the water and asked the closest group of young people if it was an accident.
One of the youths said “nope,” tossed another can into the lake and made a sarcastic comment about the environment (clearly not a very intelligent young man).
Sad to see such disrespect for the lake. I am hopeful for Kal Lake that such young people are in the minority.
