Avant-Garde Masquerade Ball is a monster bash

It was a frightfully good night for the masked avengers and organizers of the Avant-Garde Masquerade Ball.

It was a frightfully good night for the masked avengers and organizers of the Avant-Garde Masquerade Ball held at Paddlewheel Hall in Vernon Friday, Oct. 25.

The event, produced by Kip Jon Productions, saw all sorts of colourful and creepy creations painted on live models by local artists Nikki Marshall, Cheryl Meier, Brett Campbell, Markella Mildenberger, Jessie Voss and others.

Guests, hidden by their own creative creations and donning their finery as at a Vienna masked ball, danced to music from the decks of DJ Lil’ Miz BumpIt, and enjoyed appetizers by Monashees Bar and Grill and refreshments.

Proceeds from the Masquerade Ball are planned for Vernon Search and Rescue and event organizer/producer Kip Whelpley has already announced his next affair in Vernon, a Valentine’s Day Diner En Noir.
