Ballet continues to spread holiday magic

There is no better-loved holiday classical ballet than the perennial favourite, The Nutcracker.

Based on the story “The Nutcracker and the Mouse King” written by E.T.A. Hoffmann and set to the music of Tchaikovsky, the ballet is filled with fantasy and magic, and has captivated generations of families around the world making it a seasonal tradition.

Generation II Dance Society with members of Ballet Kelowna and the Canadian School of Ballet are joining forces to present this charming production, and welcomes audiences to share the joy and wonder with their families on Dec. 16 at 7:30 p.m. and Dec. 17 at 2 p.m. at the Vernon Performing Arts Centre.
