What do you get when you combine a tenderhearted singer songwriter from Newfoundland, a larger-than-life Albertan drummer raised in Saudi Arabia, an internationally renowned fiddling B.C. champion, and an effortlessly cool Japanese-Canadian bass player?

None other than Cod Gone Wild.

The Enderby & District Arts Council is heading up to Mara to present Cod Gone Wild at Putula Park (Hwy 97A just east of the Mara Foodliner) July 10 at 7 p.m.

Andrew Mercer, Chad Rhino Carter, Roy Kawano and Susan Aylard are the musicians in this energetic modern Celtic/roots/rock band, based in the North Okanagan.

In the event of rain or poor weather conditions, the show will move to the Mara Hall.

“Plan to come early as we expect a big crowd for this popular band. Bring a chair or blanket and your dancing shoes,” said EDAC Diana Inselberg.

Admission is free, however, donations will be accepted at intermission.
