Fab Fourever celebrates Beatles’ 50th

It's been 50 years since the Beatles landed on North American shores and this tribute act celebrates the enduring power of the band

Anyone coming of age in 1964 remembers The Beatles’ historic appearances on The Ed Sullivan Show on three consecutive Sundays in February of that year.

It was the start of Beatlemania.

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of The Fab Four’s first arrival to North America, Canada’s best Beatles’ tribute band is coming to Kelowna, Penticton and Vernon in early March.

The Fab Fourever will appear at the Kelowna Community Theatre Saturday, at the Cleland Theatre in Penticton Sunday and at the Vernon Performing Arts Centre Monday.

Presented by Legends of Rock ‘n Roll, the concerts will feature the different phases of The Beatles’ career, complete with costume changes and staging. The show chronicles the band’s arrival on this side of the Atlantic, right through Sgt. Pepper to Abbey Road.

Tickets are $40, available at Ticketseller (250-549-7469, online at ticketseller.com or at the theatre box office). The Vernon show begins at 7:30 p.m.
