Those who missed The Hip’s recent Man Machine Poem tour across the country, or their livestreamed concert from Kingston on the CBC, can get a taste of the next best thing.
Okanagan tribute band The Hip Replacements are performing The Hip’s music live in Lake Country Saturday, Oct. 8.
“Most people would have seen this terrific band playing at pubs throughout the Okanagan, but this is their first live show in a theatre venue, so a lot more people of every age can enjoy their Tragically Hip tribute,” said Ryan Donn, Lake Country cultural development coordinator.
Having opened up for such acts as Chilliwack, Nazareth, and Trooper, The Hip Replacements are an Okanagan-grown band who have been together for more than 15 years.
The band takes the stage Saturday, Oct. 8 at 7:30 p.m. at the Creekside Theatre, 10241 Bottom Wood Lake Rd., Lake Country. Tickets are $25 at creeksidetheatre.com, or call 250-766-9309.
