Get lost in the archives in Lake Country

Learn about area history when the Lake Country Heritage and Cultural Society hosts the lecture, Lost in the Archives: Lake Country’s past through letters, diaries and journals at the Creekside Theatre Nov. 2 at 1:30 p.m.

Doors open at 1 p.m. and admission is by donation.

Laura Neame will delve into the history of Lake Country with the aid of photos and material from the archives at the Lake Country Museum.

A native of Toronto, Neame is the archivist for the Lake Country Museum and has lived in the community for eight years.

She has a bachelor’s in English and a master’s in library science, from Simon Fraser and UBC respectively, and has extensive experience in various B.C. college libraries, culminating in her position as director of libraries at Okanagan College from 2005 until 2010.
