A burst of colour is about to enter Paddlewheel Park Hall.

The Okanagan Artists of Canada (OAC) is hosting its fourth annual Art at Paddlewheel Park exhibition and sale Sunday, Oct. 23 in the park’s historic hall overlooking Okanagan Lake.

“The Okanagan Landing Community Association has been very active in encouraging the use of Paddlewheel Park Hall as a recreational, cultural and historical facility,” said OAC member Jo-Ann Rasmussen. “The OAC is proud to continue its partnership with the Okanagan Landing Community Association, a partnership that promotes both the hall and the artwork of the OAC.”

The show features fine art by local artists showcasing original paintings in a variety of mediums and subject matter. Some of the artwork has been displayed in local businesses’ storefronts leading up to the exhibition.

“In addition to larger pieces and as in last year’s show, the OAC will once again offer a selection of smaller paintings priced under $100,” added Rasmussen.

Sunday’s exhibition and sale runs from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Paddlewheel Park Hall, 7813 Okanagan Landing Rd. Admission is free with non-perishable donations to the food bank accepted.
