Indie-folk is on the menu at Lorenzo’s Cafe

The Jessica Stuart Few brings their one-of-a-kind sound to the popular Ashton Creek restaurant that is home to great music

After several successful Western Canadian tours following their acclaimed 2010 release of Kid Dream, The Jessica Stuart Few are excited to head to Western Canada and their home province of British Columbia this summer to officially launch their new single Don’t Ya, in anticipation of their fall 2012 sophomore release Two Sides To Every Story.

Emerging as one of the hottest bands from Toronto’s indie-folk scene, the tour will feature never-before-performed material by the trio. The upcoming album serves to both celebrate the group’s eclectic mix of instruments as well as their signature indie folk/jazz style, while giving fans a taste of their ever-evolving, critically acclaimed sound.

B.C.-born Stuart is a veteran musician who has toured and played worldwide in countries such as Japan, Turkey, The United States, Australia and England.  She and her bandmates have played and headlined renowned festivals such as CMW, North By North East (NXNE), TD Toronto Jazz Festival and the Vancouver Chutzpah! Festival, resulting in features on CBC Radio 1 & 2, video rotations on Bravo!, and their new single Don’t Ya being named Song Of The Week on CBC Radio in March 2012.

Producing high-quality music that resonates equally at home and on the dance-floor, this summer audiences will have the chance to join The Jessica Stuart Few on a musical journey across indie-folk, art pop and jazz, into what can only be described as a one-of-a-kind vision.

The Jessica Stuart Few plays tonight at Lorenzo’s Café, 901 Mabel Lake Rd., eight km east of Enderby in Ashton Creek, starting at 8 p.m. For more information and reservations, call 250-838-6700.
