Lobster supper celebrates Canada Day

Looking for something special to do to start your celebration of Canada’s 144th birthday? Look no further than Memorial Park in Armstrong June 18.

The official “Piping in of the Lobster” will signal the beginning of this annual feast at 4 p.m. in Memorial Park Armstrong, followed by a delicious dinner featuring lobster flown in for the occasion from the Maritimes

Joining the festivities this year is Celtic band The Malarkeys. The Malarkeys serve up a mixture of favourites that are immediately familiar to fans of contemporary Irish and Celtic music. This tightly knit unit of experienced musicians deliver a lively and entertaining show and have performed up and down the Okanagan valley since their first performance on St. Patrick’s Day in 2007.

Tickets for the supper are $30 per person,  RSVP required. Dinner includes traditional coleslaw, baked potato, roll, dessert and beverage. Not a lobster lover? Rib dinner is also available for the same cost. Children’s items will also be available for a nominal fee.
