If you enjoy meeting the public and helping others, there is a place for you in Lumby.
The Lumby Community Thrift Store is currently looking for volunteers to sort and organize items.
“It is completely managed by volunteers with the perks of tea, coffee and usually goodies, and the daily satisfaction of knowing you are making a difference,” said Georgie Hay, with the thrift store. “Lumby Thrift may be exactly the right place to help out and we do need more volunteers.”

The store is open five days a week from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
“Some folks are into do it yourself projects and this is the perfect place to find a wide assortment of different items,” said Hay.
