Youth ages six to 17 have piled into the Vernon Performing Arts Centre this week to partake in Missoula Children’s Theatre’s annual musical theatre camp.

Up to 60 local children are participating in the theatrical experience, led by Missoula instructors Preston-Joseph Wood and Taylor Colleen Peters, who have already auditioning the children for the various roles they will play in a modern take of Hansel and Gretel.

The campers are working all week both on and off the stage to present the play to the public at the end of the week.

Two shows will take place at the Performing Arts Centre on Saturday, July 14 at 3:30 and 5:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased for $12 each at the Ticket Seller box office. Call 250-549-7469, or visit www.ticketseller.ca.
