A new visual arts guild is starting in Vernon for local artists and artisans to talk about their work and share ideas.

The Vernon Visual Arts Guild is open to those living in the North Okanagan  who wish to meet other local artists, and talk about a variety of topics including gear, tools, techniques, inspiration as well as marketing, self-promotion and many other related topics, said organizer Donna Mair.

“Vernon is full of amazing artists of all sorts: painters, photographers, sculptors, even urban knitters. The Vernon Visual Artists Guild is a great way for us to meet each other, and share ideas,” she said.

The guild’s next meeting is Tuesday, Jan. 28 from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Bean to Cup’s downstairs gallery, located at 3903 -27th St. Vernon.

“Feel free to bring a friend, and see you there,” said Mair.
