Paul Moore believes in the importance of performance.

“The benefits of a strong voice performance or strong voice ensemble program apply to all ages, from childhood  through to  adolescence and continuing into adulthood,” said the well-known local tenor, choir director and teacher. “To learn to sing or perform  with a group is to learn  transferable skills that you can carry with you to enhance your quality of life, both personal and into school.

“Pure happiness and a feeling of belonging and teamwork are all benefits which one can experience by joining a choir.”

Moore is expanding his Kokanee Singers program by starting KS Juniors, which will include youth aged seven years and up. The only requirements to joining KSJ is a love of singing, a commitment to learning about music and how best to use your voice. In addition, a desire to meet new people and make more friends is always welcome.

The choir will also provide opportunities for students to perform in various creative projects throughout the year with Moore, his other choirs and guests.

“Singing is the most widely used  artistic expression because it is one of the most natural forms of emotional communication. It supports physical, mental and social health as well as individual development in the same areas.

Using his  sense of humour  and a commitment to building your child’s belief in their personal abilities,  KS Juniors is a chance for your son or daughter to start to develop a passion for music and a love for learning and performance.
