Presbyterians induct new minister at Knox

Knox Presbyterian Church in Vernon holds induction service Aug. 24 at 7 p.m. to welcome the Rev. Dr. Teresa A. Charlton

The Presbytery of Kamloops will induct the Rev. Dr. Teresa A. Charlton, B.A., M.Div., D.Min., into the pastoral charge of Knox Presbyterian Church in Vernon today beginning at 7 p.m.

Charlton arrived in Vernon with her husband and their three young children in early July from Ontario where she had been minister at the Presbyterian Church in Richmond. She took up her duties July 15 as minister at Knox.

The service of induction formalizes and ratifies her position as minister of Knox and as a member of the Kamloops Presbytery.

The Induction Service will be led by members of the Presbytery of Kamloops. Moderator of the Presbytery is the Rev. Harold Wiest of Kamloops. The sermon will be given by the Rev. Woldy Sosnowsky of Salmon Arm.

The Presbytery of Kamloops takes in all the congregations of the Presbyterian Church in Canada within the Thompson-Okanagan region as well as the Cariboo and Northern British Columbia.
