Grammy award winning singer-songwriter Sarah McLachlan will perform in concert at Prospera Place in Kelowna on Friday, Oct. 24.
Tickets for the concert go on sale Friday, May 9 at 10 a.m.
The Okanagan date is part of a 19-city cross-Canada tour that McLachlan is doing this year in support of her eighth album, Shine On.
McLachlan is one of the most celebrated musical artists that Canada has produced. She is an eight-time Juno Award and three-time Grammy Award winner.
Beyond her hit songs such as Surfacing, Building a Mystery and Last Dance, McLachlan earned praise for her supportive efforts for the Lilith Fair tours which both showcased emerging female musicians and raised $7 million for local and national charities during the event’s three-year run.
As well, McLachlan founded her own non-profit organization in 2002, the Sarah McLachlan School of Music, an initiative to provide after-school music education for at-risk and under-served kids who otherwise would have no access to music programming.
Tickets to see her at Prospera Place are $50 and $76. Charge by phone at 250-762-5050, online at selectyourtickets.com, or get them in person at the Prospera Place box office.
