The Sheepdogs had no trouble testing out the new sound system at the Vernon Performing Arts Centre Monday night.

The Saskatoon retro rockers, led by vocalist-guitarist Ewan Currie, sporting a shorter 'do than the rest of his long tressed bandmates, blasted material from new album Future Nostalgia, playing hits such as I'm Gonna Be Myself and Downtown.

Tinnitus may have ensued, but that didn't stop fans – young and mature – from screaming for more.

The band did not disappoint, playing hits The Way it Is (off the band's 2012 self-titled album) and older material including I Don't Know from 2010's Learn and Burn.

The Sheepdogs next head to the Kootenays to play sold-out shows in Nelson and Cranbrook, Wednesday and Thursday respectively, before finishing the western Canadian leg of their tour in Grande Prairie, Lloydminster, and Winnipeg.
