Everybody loves Tazz. The special needs children his owner, Alma Tees, works with can’t get enough of the friendly, year-and-a-half-old beagle.
“I take him to the classroom sometimes and the kids can do anything they want with him. He’s so calm. He just sits there and lets them love him. I’m hoping that with the right training he can become an autistic service dog when he is a little older,” she said.
Tees wasn’t planning to get a dog but when she went with her daughter to pick up her dog, she fell in love with the other dog there and brought him home.
“He’s so sweet and good-natured. We only found out that he was selected, they said there were hundreds of entries. One dog was from Italy. It’s pretty exciting. I’m a big fan of Cesar Millan, and Tazz will be on his website,” said Tees.
“I hope people will support this hardworking hometown beagle.
“All someone has to do to support Tazz, is follow the link to the page and click Like. A few clicks and seconds of one’s time is enough to support Tazz.”
Tazz has been in second place since the finalists were announced and the top contender is a dog from New York. The winner will be announced on Friday.
